Dr. Vasika Kulatunga, as co-founders of Golden Hands brings medical expertise, operational insight, and a tireless drive to improve the standard of elder care in Sri Lanka. With a strong background in general practice and community health, Dr. Vasika works closely with care teams to ensure that every resident receives personalized, dignified attention. His calm presence, clinical rigor, and deep respect for the elderly make him a trusted figure not only among families but also among caregivers. Together with Dr. Dinali, he is helping build a new gold standard in elder care

Therapist
Dr. Cheroni Pullenayegam is a medical doctor and applied psychologist with a unique interdisciplinary background in both clinical medicine and psychological care. She holds an MBBS and a Master of Science in Applied Psychology from Coventry University (UK), equipping her with a comprehensive, person-centered approach to mental health.
With experience in both national health research and therapeutic practice, Dr. Cheroni brings deep insight into the psychological challenges faced by older adults — from cognitive decline and grief to anxiety and emotional isolation. Her sessions at Golden Hands focus on restoring emotional well-being, supporting adjustment to aging, and building resilience in the face of change.
She is particularly passionate about the integration of mental health into mainstream medical care and believes that emotional wellness is critical to dignity in aging. Her approach combines empathy, clinical understanding, and cultural sensitivity, ensuring that every resident feels heard, supported, and valued.
